Fipronil concentrate
Also called: fipronil · 9.8% fipronil · 0.29% fipronil · 80% fipronil · concentrated fipronil · fipronil spot-on · fipronil spot on · fipronil pipette
Dog
Keep it away
Described signs
If they have just licked a freshly applied pipette: drooling, foaming at the mouth, gagging, nausea or a vomit or two, and a lot of lip-licking or head-shaking. Once the product has dried this usually does not happen. On the skin where it was applied: redness, itching, irritation and sometimes a bald patch. If they have chewed and swallowed the pipette, the collar or the bottle, or if it was a garden or agricultural concentrate: heavy drooling, repeated vomiting, tremors, an unsteady walk, stiff legs, restlessness or vocalising, and in serious cases seizures. Do not make them vomit on your own. Call your vet or the poison line and tell them which product it is and the concentration printed on the label: a 9.8% pipette is not the same thing as a concentrate over 40%.
