Dog

Dangerous

Described signs

Drooling, champing of the jaws, gagging and vomiting, and irritation of the mouth, skin and eyes. The serious risk is that the liquid, which is very thin, gets into the lungs while swallowing or vomiting: coughing, choking and aspiration pneumonia that can take a while to show.

Dangerous

Described signs

Drooling, gagging, vomiting and irritation of the mouth, skin and eyes, and coughing or laboured breathing if the liquid gets into the lungs while swallowing or vomiting. A knocked-over lamp leaves oil on the floor and on the coat, and the cat finishes swallowing it by grooming.
