Tarragon
Artemisia dracunculus
Also called: French tarragon · estragon · artemisia dracunculus · dried tarragon · fresh tarragon
Dog
Care needed
Described signs
Mild vomiting and diarrhea if they eat a fair amount of leaf. The pinch in a cooked dish is not what this entry warns about; the knocked-over pot or jar of dried herb is. Tarragon essential oil does not belong here: it is the concentrated form, it has a warning of its own and it is a good deal more serious, especially in cats.
